EVERYWHERE LEADS EVERYWHERE

In his [Everywhere Leads Everywhere] series, Daniel explores the tension between disorientation and discovery within the urban landscape. Inspired by his love of running, the work reflects his belief in the interconnectedness of our lives—less like a straight path and more like an intricate map, where every route converges, and getting lost is a rare gift, where 'Everywhere leads everywhere eventually'.

[ NOTES ON RUNNING ]

“I love running. Particularly unfamiliar places. I’m captivated by mapping the unknown path, with its loops, dead ends, and intersections. When I run, life feels less like a straight path and more like an intertwined map.

The 'Everywhere leads Everywhere' series is inspired by my runs through different cities. My aim is to literally get lost. In a world where every action is planned, every route mapped, I find getting lost exhilarating, a rare gift. In my work I attempt to explore the tension between disorientation and discovery.

I’m also captivated by “running heat maps” — paths that deepen with repetition, leaving lasting marks. Each journey contributes to a larger map of experience, like a communal memory that grows with every step. For me, this symbolises how our individual journeys connect, adding depth to a shared landscape. Everywhere leads Everywhere.”
